Monthly Tours

The monthly tour on the first Sunday of each month at 9-12 starts from the dike at Børsen in Sønderho.

We follow the Fanø Bird Station this year and the evolution of bird life, by taking a trip every month to the places where we know the birds are. You must orientate yourself on our open facebook page, which is linked here. Here you see if there are any changes to our otherwise fixed program. Topicality and special occurrences can create changes announced no later than 12 noon.

Our program is, unless otherwise announced, the following:

All year round, there are exciting bird species and large numbers of birds here in the tension between the North Sea, the Wadden Sea and the southern tip of Fanø. From Sønderho we will walk along the dike towards the hen. and on towards Hønespidsen, During the past 20 years we have been serviced by species such as Sea Eagle, Fish Eagle, Red Glente, Black Glente, Fjeldvåge, Heath Hawk, Steppe Hawk, Rørhøg and Blue Kærhøg, Hiking Falcon, Larch Falcon, Aftenfalk, Trane, White-breasted, Large – and Little Priest Collar, Pomeranian Bird, Blue-collar, White-breasted Songs and lots of other exciting birds and large flocks of waders and migratory small birds. We will walk in the most beautiful landscapes, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Wadden Sea, and watch the birds the day brings.

We are looking forward to showing you the birds on the first Sunday of the month, and it is definitely that we improvise a lunch to end.

The bird station acts as an organization on the basis of volunteering.
